Description

Kasparas Jakučionis arrived in the NBA with more mileage than most rookies his age. Born in Vilnius, he turned professional as a teenager with FC Barcelona, where in his final season he averaged 19.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.7 assists across 19 appearances, before crossing the Atlantic for a single season at Illinois. That freshman year made him one of the most productive newcomers in the country: he led the Illini in scoring and assists, set the program's freshman record for free-throw percentage at 84.5%, tied the freshman record for total points, and set the freshman record for 20-point games with ten. That resume had him projected as a lottery pick, with some evaluators tabbing him a top-10 talent in the 2025 class. Instead, on draft night he slid all the way to No. 20, where he fell from the lottery all the way to that slot, landing in what was still seen as a good situation with Miami. The Heat kept the pick and took him, betting that a 6-foot-6 playmaker with size and touch was worth the wait, even as scouts flagged turnover issues and defensive rawness as the price of admission. The rookie season did not go to plan. He missed part of training camp and a chunk of the preseason because of a sprained left wrist, then played in one exhibition before being sidelined for the first seven regular-season games with a strained right groin. When he was finally healthy, Miami's rotation had no room for him, and he was sent down to the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat's G League affiliate, to get the game reps he had missed. He answered well enough there, averaging 16.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 42% from the field in eight G League appearances before rejoining the Heat in December. Injuries elsewhere in Miami's backcourt eventually opened a door, and by season's end he had shown enough in his starts to justify the pick, shooting a sharp 45.8% from three across a dozen starts. Before he ever got a full second season to build on that, the Heat used him as currency. In the summer of 2026 he was sent to Milwaukee along with Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and draft picks in the blockbuster deal that brought Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami, with reporting later confirming the Bucks specifically pushed for Jakučionis over an expiring-contract alternative because they wanted a player with real time left on his rookie deal. It was a strange twist for a 20-year-old barely a year into his career: traded not because he'd failed, but because he was young and cheap enough to be the price of a superstar. This card freezes him at the start of that story, before the trade, before the G League detour was even known — a Heat rookie signature card from the season Miami hoped he'd help build around, issued the same year he never got the chance to.

How This Card Scores

This card scores 54% overall — the average of its five SWAPP™ ratings, each measured as set out below. A fresh, unnumbered 2025-26 rookie autograph of a hyped Heat lottery-caliber pick who fell to 20th; modest visual flash, steady but not elite market demand, growing name recognition, and an as-yet thin, hard-to-verify graded population from a niche grading company.

SellabilityMedium · 50%
Medium sellability index. Rookie-year cards of a first-round Heat guard move at a steady pace on eBay, helped by his 'steal of the draft' storyline, but well behind top rookies like Cooper Flagg.
Wow Factor60%
Worked out from how the card looks: a modern card with a base design (no parallel or special finish), which starts at 60% on its design. No autograph or patch is needed for that score.
Age25%
Worked out from the card's age: released 2026-05, it has been out about 5 months. Three to six months out, comps are starting to exist, so it has left the 10% floor. That puts it at 25%.
Popularity52%
Jakučionis draws steady rookie buzz as Miami's No. 20 pick who GMs voted the draft's biggest steal, but he remains a role player, not a headline NBA name.
Population CountLow* · 12 · 85% Rarity
About 12 graded copies (estimated) across the grading companies — low population. As a 2025-26 rollout card graded by a smaller, non-mainstream grading company (Golden Grading) rather than PSA/BGS/SGC, very few copies of this specific autograph have likely been submitted yet.
